Chinese conference interpreter and translator Philip Rosen feels passionate about interpreting and translation across languages and cultures. As an active linguist, he observes how low-quality translation loses ideas, damages connections, and disappoints all parties involved. Miscommunication wastes valuable time and energy. He founded Capital Linguists, an interpreting and translation agency, with the best interpreters and translators to deliver the best quality.
Philip works as the managing director at Capital Linguists, overseeing both interpreting and translation projects. He is an expert Chinese interpreter and translator with over 12 years of solid experience in English to Chinese simultaneous and conference interpreting, consecutive interpreting, phone interpreting, and Chinese to English translation. He has extensive knowledge of business, law, finance, medicine, and academia. He holds an MA in Chinese Conference Interpreting from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS) in Monterey, CA, and a BS in International Affairs from Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee, FL. He holds court certification, and is an active member of the American Translators Association (ATA). He has lived, worked, and traveled in China and Taiwan.
